► Instruct the patient in the handling and care of the product.
► Instruct the patient to see a physician immediately if any exceptional
changes are noted (e.g. worsening of the complaint).
5.1 Size Selection
The orthosis is available in a universal size. It can be used for fitting of waist­
band circumference up to 150 cm/59 inches.
5.2 Fitting and Application
CAUTION
Loosening the ratchet closures
Loss of the support function, injuries due to wear or unintentional release
of the ratchet closures
► At each application, ensure that the ratchet closures audibly engage in
the waistband. The waistband must not slip out under load.
► Practice the application and removal of the product with the patient.
► In case of damage or noticeable changes in the product, the patient
should consult a specialist workshop.
CAUTION
Incorrect or excessively tight application
Risk of local pressure and constriction of blood vessels and nerves due to
improper or excessively tight application
► Ensure that the product is applied properly and fits correctly.
INFORMATION
Continuous, direct skin contact with the product can lead to skin irritation.
Only wear the product over clothing (e.g. a T-shirt or undershirt) in daily
use. For limited times (e.g. water therapy), the product can also be worn
directly on intact skin.
Requirement: The patient must be either lying down or standing up.

1) Loosen the screws in the base plate (see fig. 2).
2) Taking into account the maximum extension length marked on the tubes,
adjust the height of the sternal and symphysis supports to the patient
(see fig. 3).
3) Tighten the screws in the base plate.
