Select a memory base address (dual-port RAM address) for
the CP 1401 module:
Recommendation: 0D0000
If you require other free memory base addresses, please
refer to the appropriate M7 manuals.
Make sure that the selected memory area is not
being used by any other module in your M7
computer. If a memory area is assigned more than
once, the computer can hang. In this case, you must
reconfigure the CP 1401.
Please note that each time the installation program is started,
the entries in AUTOEXEC.BAT are re-edited.
If you had to make manual entries during the installation,
these will be overwritten automatically by the installation
program if you start it again.
It is therefore important to check any manual entries made in
AUTOEXEC.BAT if you have run the installation program a
second time.
If you are using PC networks, interrupts and ports etc. must
also be assigned.
When you install "Personal Netware", for example, the
required PC interrupt and the base address (port address)
must be entered in the NET.CFG file.
