8.2 Causes of Malfunctions and Correction
Cause of malfunction
If LED 1 lights up red, charging is not taking place. This signal may have
the following causes:
The charging plug is not properly
connected to the charging recept­
acle
The charging plug or charging
receptacle contacts are dirty
The battery temperature is outside
the permissible temperature range

Correction
Disconnect the charging plug and
connect it again
Use a cotton swab and a mild soap
solution to clean the contacts of
both components
Bring the battery within the operat­
ing temperature range (see the sec­
tion "Technical Data"); then the
charging process starts automatic­
ally
