Safety
Thissectionprovidesanoverviewofallthemainsafetyaspectsforoptimum
protectionofpersonnelandasafeinstallationprocess.Ifthereisafailureto
observetheinstructionsandsafetyinformationsetouthere,thismayresultin
signifi canthazards.
FZRinstallationmustcomplywiththerelevantprofessionalassociationregulations,
VDEprovisions,nationalsafetyandaccidentpreventionregulationsaswellas
companyregulations(workandproceduralinstructions).
Thefi ttermustweartherelevantprotectiveclothing.
Onlyintactcomponentsmaybeinstalled.
The following instructions are to be observed prior to instal-
lation of the FZR:

Improperinstallationcanresultinsignifi cantbodilyharmandpropertydamage.
• Thenationallyapplicablelayingandfi llingregulationsforpipesandcables
aretobeobservedatalltimes.
•  S ealtheundergroundandcablesubstructurewellpriortolayingpipes/cables
sothatthelattercannotsubside.
NOTE!
No sealing due to incorrect assembly!
Improperinstallationcanresultindamage.
• Itisessentialtoobservetheapplicablecountry-specifi cstandardsandpolicies
foranyconcretingworkcarriedout.Thisappliesinparticulartowaterproof
concretecomponentsinaccordancewithEN206-1,modularconstructionor
workingwithself-compactingconcrete.
• Ifpossible,workonthefi brecementwallsleeveoutdoorsorinawell-
ventilatedroom.
• WearadustprotectionmaskinaccordancewithEN149:2001FFP12360
(seefi g.:1).
• Onlyusehand-operatedorlow-speeddeviceswithadust-catchingattach-
ment(seefi g.:2)!
• Wearprotectivegoggles.
• Ifpossible,thefi brecementwallsleevemustbecutordrilledwet.
• Incaseoffi brecementwallsleeves,asageneralrule,adistanceof10cm
totheedgesofneighbouringwallsleevesandotherbuilt-incomponents
mustbekept.

Transport, packaging, scope of delivery and storage

•  W henunloadingpackagingitemsondeliveryandinthecourseofin-house
transport,proceedwithcareandobservethesymbolsonthepackaging.
Transport inspection
Inspectthedeliveryimmediatelyonreceiptforcompletenessandtransport
damage.Intheeventoftransportdamagebeingvisiblefromtheoutside,proceed
asfollows:
• Donotacceptthedeliveryoronlydososubjecttoreservations.
• Makeanoteoftheextentofdamageinthetransportdocumentationor
deliverynoteprovidedbythetransporter.
• Submit a claim for every defect as soon as it has been identifi ed.
• Make a note of the extent of damage in the transport documentation or
delivery note provided by the transporter.

•  T heFZRmustbestoredinsuchawaythatitisnotexposedtolowtempe-
ratures(<5°C),hightemperatures(>30°C)ordirectsunlight.
Disposal
Ifnoreturnordisposalagreementhasbeenconcluded,recycledismantled
componentsaftertheyhavebeenproperlydismantled.
