Walk Assist
The Walk Assist (key Fig. B-f) helps you to push
your e-bike.
It is activated as follows:
› Press the «Walk Assist» key (Fig. B-f)
once to activate the feature. Then press
within 3 seconds the «Decrease» key. The
feature it now active.
› Press the «Decrease» key as long as you
need the Walk Assist feature. The e-bike
accelerates without pedal assistance to a
speed between 3 and 6 km/h specified by
the bicycle manufacturer.
Release the Walk Assist key to deactivate the
Walk Assist.
The Walk Assist is switched off as soon as one
of the following occurs:
› You release the «Decrease» key,
› the e-bike wheels are blocked (e.g. due to
braking or hitting an obstacle),
› the speed exceeds 6 km/h.
The Walk Assist function may only be used
when pushing the e-bike. If the e-bike wheels
have no contact with the ground when using
the Walk Assist, there is a risk of injury.

In the version in which the bike lights are
powered by the e-bike system, the front light
and the rear light can be switched on and off
simultaneously using the «Light» key (Fig. B-b)
on the control unit.
Automatic headlight control
The Brose e-bike system has automatic
headlight control. This is activated by lon
button press the «Light» button. The top LED
on the LED strip lights up for 2 seconds. The
headlight control is deactivated by long button
press the «Light» button again. The top LED of
the LED strip flashes briefly twice.
Switching the bike lights on/off has no
influence on the display backlight.
Is the battery removed or fully discharged, the
light does not turn on if it is connected to the
electric power system. Be aware that using the
bicycle under these conditions will be
considered non-observance of the road traffic
laws.
Battery charge level
The status LED is green. The battery charge
status is indicated by 5 white LEDs. Each LED
corresponds to approx. 20% of the battery
capacity.
If the battery charge level is <10% (1x white
LED) the colour of the status LED changes to
orange. If the charge level reaches 5%, the
battery reserve has been reached and only the
orange status LED is displayed. In this state,
the motor assistance is switched off to ensure
the use of the lighting for another 2 hours in
case of emergency.
