Video output

Select the Video output options for the connected replay device to
be used.
OFF: Select this option, if the replay device is connected to the
DVD-Player via the Composite-Video and/or S-Video
connection.
YUV: Select this option, if the replay device is connected to the
DVD-Player via the Component-Video connection.
RGB: Select this option, if the replay device is connected to the
DVD-Player via the Scart connection.
NOTE:
If you choose the setting "RGB", you must make sure that your
replay device supports this setting.
TV-Mode
NOTE:
If the option "Off" in the menu "Video Output" is selected, the
menu "TV-Mode" is not available.
With the function "TV-Mode" you determine the signal format to be
transmitted to your replay device. Choosing the right signal format
depends on the type of connection and the replay device (see also
the operating manual of the replay unit).
Older replay units normally only suport the so-called interlaced
scanning method ("INTERLACE"). With this method the image is
composed by means of two successively built up fields. The first field
thereby consists of the even screen lines, the second one of the odd
ones. With the "progressive" Video signal, in contrast, the complete
image is build up in a single process. The thus achieved image
quality is normally much higher.
PROGRESSIVE: Choose this option if your replay device
supports progressive signals and is connected to the DVD-
Player by means of a Component-Video cable.
INTERLACE: Choose this option if your replay device does not
support progressive signals and is connected to the DVD-Player
by means of a Component-Video cable.
NOTE:
If the option "PROGRESSIVE" is activated in the menu "TV-
Mode", but your replay device does not support Progressive-Scan
signals, no picture will be displayed.
Colour Setting
In this menu you will find various possibilities to adjust the Video
signal to suit your requirements.
SHARPNESS
BRIGHTNESS
