18. Troubleshooting

The drive does not move the motor upwards/downwards, starts too slowly or too noisy
Cause: The connections are incorrect.
Solution: Please check the connections.
Cause: Wrong installation or the motor is overloaded.
Solution: Please check the installation, the load and the guide rail.
The roller shutter stops in the upward/downward movement.
Cause: The motor has reached its limit position.
Solution: Please set the limit positions again according to the instructions.
Cause: The motor has been switched on for longer than the maximum permitted time limit (4 minutes).
Solution: Please let the motor cool down for approx. 20 minutes.
The motor does not move
Cause: Mains voltage has failed.
Solution: Check the fuse and take corrective action if necessary. A qualified electrician should check if an input voltage of 230 V is available and
if the circuits are connected properly. Check the installation keeping in mind the guidelines regarding unsuitable connection methods.
During regular operation the motor stops between the limits
Cause: The thermal overload protection has been triggered.
Solution: Please let the motor cool down for approx. 20 minutes. The FI switch has been triggered. Return it to the correct position. Ask for
qualified assistance if necessary.
The motor stops during the upwards movement
Cause: The bottom rail is frozen to the windowsill / there is an obstacle in guide rail.
Solution: Please remove the obstacle / glaciation. Move motor downwards.
The roller shutter stops in the downwards movement without a recognizable obstacle.
Cause: The obstacle detection has responded: Check roller shutter for vertical and hoizontal mounting or obstruction in the guide rail.
Solution: Elimination of obstacles and inaccuracies.
Procedure for incorrect operation
Cause: The motor did not adopt the settings.
Solution: Wait 2 - 3 minutes and try to set the desired function again. Since the motor confirms all functions by movements or sounds, the error
can be localized and corrected in most cases.
Solution: Reset the motor to factory settings.
Please not that all previously set / adjusted setting will be deleted with this function.

19. Maintenance

Generally the motor requires no maintenance. However, it should be noted, that other parts installed within the whole system may be subject to wear
and tear. Therefore, the whole system should be regularly checked for signs of wear and tear or other such issues.
