Important! - The user manual
This manual describes the installation, the electrical connection and operation of the listed tubular motors on page 26.
Please read the instructions carefully and follow the safety instructions before starting to work with the motor.
Please retain this manual and hand it over to the staff for electrical installation, and the user. In case of change of ownership, please hand over the
manual to the subsequent owner. This manual is also part of the warranty conditions.
Installation as well as connection to an electrical network has to be carried out by qualified staff.
Pay attention to our warranty information on page 26.

Be aware of actions which might lead to injuries or damages. These instructions must
be observed and followed.
Do not dispose electrical and electronic products with your domestic waste!
For disposal use "electrical / electronic junk" collection points offered by local authorities or disposal services.

1. General safety information

When working on electrical installations, there is an immediate danger to life because of an electric shock!
• The mains connection of the tubular motor and each work on electrical systems must be carried out by an authorized and qualified
member of staff.
• Ensure the lines are voltage-free, before any assembly or connection-related work.
Disregarding this advice is life threatening!
• The relevant regulations for installations in humid areas must be followed.
• When used in humid environment, DIN VDE 0100, part 701 and 702 must be followed. These regulations contain compulsory
precautions.
Using defective devices can endanger persons and incur material damage.
• Ensure that the drive and power cable are in perfect condition.
• Never use defective or damaged devices.
• If you notice damage on the equipment or lead, the device must not be used. In this case please contact your specialised company or
dealer.
A risk of injury exists if the device is not used for the intended purposes, as described in the user manual.
• Responsible personnel should be informed of the safety instructions.
• Personnel should keep a safe distance away from the moving roller-shutters.
• Children should be kept under supervision and playing with the controls should be prevented at all times. Remote controls should not
be left within reach of children.
• All cleaning work should only be carried out once the roller-shutter and/or the awning have been disconnected from the power supply.
The DIN EN 13659 specifies that the roller-shutter should comply with the requirements laid out in EN 12045. In particular, it states that
the extension speed of the roller-shutter should not exceed 0.2 m/s over the last 0.4 m.
Intended use
Our tubular motors are exclusively designed for the opening and closing of roller shutters and awnings. Please follow the operating instructions.
