Requirements
• The motor cable must be laid and connected to the junction box through the tube, according to local electrical standards.
• Only use original components and accessories provided by the manufacturer.
• The installation site must have access to a fused electrical connection of 230 V/50 Hz at all times.
• In the permanent electrical installation, an approved isolating device must be installed, which safely disconnects each pole with a contact gap of at
least 3 mm from the power supply.
• The smallest possible shaft measurement (Ø or SW) for HREPP40... is 40 mm, for HREPP60... is 54 mm.
• Technical data as well as the mentioned values on the type batch of the rated torque and operating period need to be compatible with the
specifications of the driven element (e.g. roller shutter, awning).

2. Functions of motor type HREPP and setting device HR130020

• Plug & Play-Function - setting of the limit positions is completely automatic - see 11. a)
• Anti-freezing protection in the upwards movement and obstacle detection in the downwards movement - each with bounce back function
• Setting device HR130020 - required for the manual setting of the limit positions - see 11. b) to d)
• Setup button with cable on the motor head - manual setup of the limit positions - see 11. e) and enable / disable obstacle detection - see 14
• Further functions are described in this manual - see table of contents

3. Assembly information

Important! -
Please compare the input voltage and frequency requirements with the your local electric supply, before assembling
• Check package contents and compare with the scope of supply mentioned
• All assembly work related to the motor and the hanging is assumed to be carried out in a professional manner.
• Before starting to install the tubular motor, all lines that are not needed, must be disassembled or switched off.
• Movable parts, located less than 2.5 m from the ground must be secured.
• If the tubular motor is controlled by a switch with a pre-set OFF setting, the switch needs to be installed within eyeshot of the tubular motor at a height
of at least 1.5 m.
• The winding shaft must be mounted horizontally, with equal distances from the roller shutter rail guide! If the shaft is not mounted horizontally, it can
lead to damage of the motor, the rail guide or the window. Furthermore malfunctions are possible.
• Before installing the motor, check the conditions of the hanging and the profiles and make sure that the conditions are met.
an not be ruled out that the hanging or separated interspaces do not close completely. In this case, there is no malfunction of the motor, but an
unsatisfied mounting condition.
• The roller shutter box should have a built-in service hatch which should be easily accessible at all times. This means that the motor and ist connection
cable as well as the hanging and the connecting parts between the motor and hangings are reachable in case of service or for maintenance purposes.
4. Assembly of the tubular motor
The following assembly instructions are valid for default installations in conjunction with tubular motors and accessories (Page 13).
The motor head can be mounted on each side of the roller shutter box, left and right.
4.1 Assembly of the brackets
Please define the positions of both brackets in the roller shutter box.
Wind up the roller shutter completely on the shaft and measure the diameter of the roller shutter.
Important! -
When installed, the rolled up roller shutter must be assembled vertically into the guide rail of the window.
Install the bracket depending on the type and site conditions.
Assemble the bracket in a way that the external setup button P1, for the limit setting on the motors head, remains accessible and that the cable can be
laid without any creases.
The brackets must be installed in a way that the longitudinal axis of the motor runs exactly horizontally and has exactly the same
distances to the intake funnel of the roller shutter. A roller shutter that is not fitted correctly can block the drive and destroy it.
Determine length of the winding shaft
• Measure the distance between the brackets and the wall.
• Measure the roller shutter box and determine the length of the winding shaft needed. Customize winding shaft. Deburr inner and outer edges to prevent
injuries and to ease installing the adapter.

4.2 Placing the tubular motor in the winding shaft

The adapters that match the shaft formats are pre-assembled in the scope of delivery. In case another adapter is needed, instructions on our website
that describe the change of an adapter of our tubular motors are available.
40 mm octagonal shafts must be used with an external grooved seam. An internal grooved seam leads to damages on the motor,
shortens its service life due to a high torque resistance and malfunctions may occur. In this case the tubular motor is not covered by the
warranty and invalidate the right to claim under guarantee.
The motor must not be striked with force into the winding shaft! This would only cause
damage and render the warranty invalid.
