Only suitable switches or buttons must be used. Local control devices (switches, buttons etc.) must be installed visibly.
For a fixed control location, a licensed element can be used e.g. a single-pole 2-rocker switch for up and down movement. The network cable and the
two conductors of the motor are to be connected to the appropriate terminals of the switch - Please follow the instructions of the switch.
Connection cable, plug / socket - only available with ST and FP / FS types!
The plug part of the cable (shown in the illustrations on the left) is pre-installed on the motor and the
socket part (shown in the illustrations on the right) is included in the scope of supply. The 4-cored cable's
wire colors have the same meaning as described before.
Both parts have a flattening in the interior as a protection against polarity reversal of the plug-in
connection. The plug is equipped with a screw socket and a seal and the socket is threaded (see
illustrations), which ensures that the connection is tightly closed and protected from penetrating moisture.
No electrician is required to connect or disconnect the plug and socket. This simplifies and shortens the
work e.g. in a service case.
Attention! – If the cable, the plug connection or parts of the plug connection identify any kind of
damage, the motor must not be connected or put into operation.
There may be a risk of injury or even risk to life!

7. Notes for the obstacle detection

• Make sure that the hangings are going smoothly. The inlet funnels and guide profiles must be free from any obstacles. Likewise, the connections
between the slats must be installed so that the gap between the slats is closed by the weight of the upper slat. The joints and clearances must be
clean and free of burrs.
• The function of the obstacle detection is only effective if rigid shaft connectors (for example, rigid shaft connectors, item no. HR130005, Hr130006,
HR130007, not included) are mounted on the shaft/hanging.

8. Setting device HR130020

In order to use the convenience of various functions, our setting device item no. HR130020 is required. The setting device is optional and not included in
the scope of supply!
Example: The external setup button P1 (cable length approx. 25 cm) is due to the installation hardly or not accessible, the roller shutter box is already
closed and the limit positions are not set yet or not correct. In these situations, you have the setting device item no. HR130020 always
providing convenient and safe access to the setting funtions of the motor.
The use of third-party products may cause malfunction and / or damage to the tubular motor and associated parts. In these cases, the tubular motor is
not covered by the warranty and invalidate the right to claim under guarantee and in the event of damage liability on our part is excluded.

9. Installation of the roller shutter

Mount the roller shutter properly with fixing springs (not included in the scope of supply) on the winding shaft. Insert the backup / fixing springs into the
topmost slats of the roller shutter and secure the springs in the rectangular holes of the winding shaft,
• For backup / fixing springs, item no. HR144160 and HR144200 the maximum distance between the connectors is 40 cm,
• for rigid shaft connectors, item no. HR130005, HR130006, HR130007 the maximum distance between the connectors is 80 cm,
in order to ensure an even distribution of the tensile forces.
Important! - The topmost slat of the hanging should not protrude completely beyond the inlet funnel.
Attention! – Never utilize drills/screws to fix the roller shutter near the motor.
Please only connect the hanging and the winding shaft with suitable shaft connectors. Drills / screws can damage the motor. If the
motor or any part of the motor is damaged, it must not be put into operation. Consequential damages due to non-compliance cannot be
excluded.
Check whether the external setup button P1 is still freely accessible and can be operated, especially when the shutter is completely wound up.
Attention! - The roller shutter can due to contact cause considerable personal injury and / or material damage during the winding
process. In case of doubt, the settings of the limit positions must be carried out using our setting device, item no. HR130020 to avoid
personal and / or material damage. Always keep visual contact with the moving hanging.
