while the respective orange colour lid opener is pressed with a
little screwdriver.
The Tester is now activated by pressing the impulse button.
Simultaneously the tester is pressed on the front panel to the
bonding surface. The green LED blinks. If the glass break
detector is a normally-closed version, the red LED works as an
activity indicator and goes on as soon as the glass break
detector releases.
If on the other hand in the test specimen it is connected to a
normally-opened version, the red LED lights before and stops if
the glass break detector releases.
The tester can also be used for testing of glass break detectors
with external power supply (for example, glass break detector
with relay exit). The alarm output can be tested in this case as
a 4-wire alarm zone (for example, continuity tester).

Bezeichnung
Das Glasbruchsensor-Prüfgerät GMP 3 wurde zum Erzeugen
einer Test-Glasbruchfrequenz konzipiert, um die Funktion von
passiven Glasbruchsensoren nachzuweisen. Der
Prüfsignalgeber ist in die Frontplatte an der Oberseite des
Prüfgerätes eingearbeitet.
Die Prüfelektronik wird nur beim Betätigen der
Impulsgebertaste mit Strom versorgt. Beim Betätigen dieser
Taste werden ca. 8 hochfrequente Prüfimpulse pro Sekunde
erzeugt und an den Prüfsignalgeber weitergegeben. Bleibt die
Taste länger als 10 s gedrückt, erfolgt eine automatische
Abschaltung.
Solange die von der eingebauten 9 V - Batterie gelieferte
Spannung nicht unter 7,0 V sinkt, zeigt die grüne Leuchtdiode
die Prüfimpulse bei gedrückter Impulsgebertaste synchron an.
Ein gleichzeitiges Aufleuchten der roten Leuchtdiode (LED)
zeigt, daß die Batterie erschöpft ist und ausgetauscht werden
muß.
