Specific connections:VERSION WITH HEAT EXCHANGER
The buttons controlling the whirlpool Pump 1 and Pump 2 functions and
the underwater light are supplied with approximately 2000 mm of cable.
The Pump 1 button, identified by the label with the number 1 stamped
on the cable, is connected to terminals 14 and 18 (non-polar
connection).
Similarly, the Pump 2 button, identified by the number "2", and the
underwater light switch button numbered "3", are connected respectively
to terminals 15 and 19 and to terminals 16 and 20.
In the event of the cables being too short, the contractor can remedy the
situation with extensions, making certain that the connections meet
protection category IPX5 and using double insulated two-core cables of
section at least equal to that of the cable supplied with the buttons.
The underwater light and whirlpool buttons are mounted to a plate of
acrylic material with screw holes positioned to match a standard 4-gang
back-box or pattress made by any electrical hardware manufacturer.
The cables can be chased into the masonry along the selected route, by
the contractor.
Since the three buttons are completely watertight, any other type of
installation can be adopted by the contractor, on any surface.
The overflow tank must be fitted with the 3 level sensors (see fig.15),
which are supplied prewired to the electrical panel: the lowest of the
three, identified by lead number "4", is the minimum level indicator; the
middle sensor, identified by lead number "5", indicates the level that
should register permanently in the overflow tank, whilst the function of
the third sensor, uppermost and identified by wire number "6", is to
activate the filtration system whenever water is displaced from the pool
to the tank as the result of a bather stepping in.
Do not on any account alter the respective positioning of the level
sensors.
The leads "4", "5" and "6" cannot be extended, as this could cause the
system to malfunction. When preparing the layout, make certain the
Spa-pack and overflow tank are separated by a distance such that the
sensor leads will be long enough.
A switch box (M) (fig.14) located near the heat exchanger contains a
relay with a "normally open voltage-free" contact (3A Max - spare
terminals connected to Black and White conductors)
that can be used as the on/off switch control for a boiler, a recirculation
pump, a zone valve or other appliance/component governing the flow of
heat exchange fluid. Install the pipes (C and C1) (fig.14) carrying water
to and from the boiler as indicated.
