the unit is not being used. To perform this operation, open the air bleed/drain valve located at the

sides of the water connections (see Enclosure 4, fig. 3).
During operation (as well as during installation), make sure that the air intake and the

delivery outlets are not blocked in any way.

7.2 ORDINARY START-UP AND MAINTENANCE

After connecting the unit to the pipe system and after filling the coil, bleed any residual air
in the system by opening the air bleed valves located near the external water connections
at the top of the unit (see enclosure 4, fig. 3).
Before starting the system, check the proper opening of the valves and the absence of

water leaks from the pipes. Verify that the condensate is duly evacuated by spilling some
water into the pan (see encl. 1/A, 1/B, 1/C point 10) and the correct running of the regula-
tion and control devices.

The user has to be sure that the fan coil operates by respecting the operational

limits and each operation for installation and/or maintenance must be executed
by qualified personnel only.

Before servicing the filter or the electrical system and, in any case, before
removing the housing, make sure that the unit has been disconnected from the
power mains. The housing must be remounted before the unit is reconnected

to the power mains.

7.2.1 CLEANING THE AIR FILTER

Cleaning the filter is a very important activity of ordinary maintenance of a fan coil; if it is clogged,

the fan coil will have lower capacity and higher sound levels.
Cleaning the filter must be done at regular intervals, depending on real functioning and on the
amount of dust in the area where the unit is installed; in any way, it is advised to do it at least
once a month: clean with a normal vacuum cleaner and if dust stubbornly adheres to the filter
due to humidity or to greasy deposits, wash the filter with a solution of neutral detergent and
water.
If the air filter is damaged, replace it.
Removing filter
The filter can be easily reached in models with casing; the access to the filter in concealed
models depends on the specific installation.
