CLEANING AND MAINTENANCE

Cleaning the system
Once a year, at the beginning of the season during which the fireplace
is to be used, check that the smoke duct and all the combustion gas
discharge ducts are free from obstructions. Clean them thoroughly.
If necessary remove any volatile ash using an ash vacuum.
Consult your local dealer for any testing or maintenance requirements.
Cleaning the glass
The door of the firebox can be opened out for glass cleaning.
To do this first lock the door in the closed position, pushing the stop
lever (A Illustr. 2) to the left.
At this point open the lock (B Illustr. 3) on the right hand side using the
tool supplied with the fireplace (cold handle 7a) as shown in the illustra-
tion.

The door can now be opened and cleaned. Once clean, close the lock
(B) and release the stop lever (A Illustr. 1)
If the glass is covered with a light film of dirt, clean it with a dry cloth
whilst it is still hot.
For more difficult dirt, EDILKAMIN offers a special cleaning product cal-
led "GlassKamin", available from all authorised dealers.
Never use abrasive products or aggressive detergents.
