4.2

Communication interfaces

®
4.2.1 Bluetooth interface
After the start sequence, the Bluetooth
detector is activated.
If no connection is established, the gas detector disables the
interface after 10 minutes (factory setting).
If the connection is to be secured with a pairing PIN, an
additional pairing can be carried out and an individual pairing
PIN assigned. The factory setting is the connection without
PIN.
For safety-related applications, an individual pairing PIN
must be assigned.
4.2.2 Activating the Bluetooth

● Activate the Bluetooth
via the ISA100 Wireless
● Magnetic pen: Tap the marking (Fig. A 12).
™
● ISA100 Wireless : Activate using PolySoft.
✓ The blue LED flashes.
4.2.3 Establish Bluetooth
pairing
Prerequisite:
®
– Bluetooth interface on the device and on the Windows
terminal device is activated.
● Connect via PolySoft.
Entering a PIN is not necessary.
✓ After successful connection, the blue LED lights up
continuously.
Gas detector and Windowsterminal device with PolySoft
are connected.
4.2.4 Carry out Bluetooth
Prerequisite:
®
– Bluetooth interface on the device and on the Windows
terminal device is activated.
®
– Bluetooth pairing is activated (with PolySoft).
®
● If the Bluetooth pairing PIN "000000" is used, Bluetooth
pairing is automatic.
If an individual Bluetooth
a prompt requests entering the PIN.
✓ After successful connection, the blue LED lights up
continuously.
Gas detector and Windowsterminal device with PolySoft
are connected.
If required, use PolySoft to assign an individual Bluetooth
pairing PIN.

subject to intense electrostatic charging, for example, due
to fast moving particles or pneumatic transport of

► Do not install the gas detector in dust explosion-hazard

5.1 Installing the gas detector -
installation without mounting
accessories
The gas detector is installed vertically on a flat surface.
For installation with mounting accessories, see
corresponding assembly instructions.
Prerequisites:
– A suitable installation location is selected (see "Safety
information", section "Mechanical installation", page 24).

Risk of explosion!
The gas detector is not tested in environments with increased
oxygen content (> 21 % O
► Do not use the gas detector in environments with
increased oxygen content.
Install the gas detector:

● Install the gas detector using the drilling template (see
"Drilling template" appendix) and M6 (1/4") hexagon
socket head cap screws.
