General
With NIBE SMS 40 you can control and monitor your
NIBE heat pump using a mobile telephone via SMS
messaging. For this to work, NIBE SMS 40 must be
equipped with a valid GSM subscription.
The telephone used must support 2G. A pay as you go
card or a subscription work equally well. However a pay
as you go card must be regularly refilled to ensure con-
tinued use.
NOTE
Check that SMSs can be sent with the SIM
card to be used.
Deactivate if necessary. PIN for SIM card. This
can be done in a mobile telephone or by your
service provider.

Mounting
NIBE SMS 40 can be positioned lying on a flat surface
or wall-mounted. Where NIBE SMS 40 is wall-mounted,
use the supplied wall bracket.
NOTE
When wall mounting, the hole for the antenna
cable must be pointing downwards to prevent
water from entering NIBE SMS 40.
NOTE
NIBE SMS 40 must not be installed outdoors.
NIBE SMS 40 is supplied with a factory installed an-
tenna. The antenna section has a piece of self-adhesive
tape that can be used to secure the antenna, for ex-
ample to a window if coverage in the installation location
is poor.

Electrical connection

NOTE
All electrical connections must be carried out
by an authorised electrician.
Electrical installation and wiring must be carried
out in accordance with the stipulations in force.
The climate unit must not be powered when
installing NIBE SMS 40.
