INTENDED USE

Iceross Post-Op liners are used as part of early rehabilitation treatment of
a residual limb after trans-tibial or trans-femoral amputation.
First, for compression therapy in the early stage of treatment.
Second, after trans-tibial amputation as a part of a temporary prosthetic
interface in a later stage of treatment.

GENERAL SAFETY INSTRUCTIONS

Inform the patient concerning proper handling and care of the liner as
stated in this instruction manual.
WARNING: Do not use the trans-femoral version as part of a temporary
(preparatory) prosthesis interface.
PRODUCT MATERIAL LIST
Silicone, polyamide 6.6, elastane, polyester, steel
LINER SIZE SELECTION
Follow the steps listed below to provide the patient with a first experience
of using a liner and avoid the risk of an uncomfortable degree of
compression:
1. For trans-tibial amputees, determine the correct liner size by bending
the knee slightly, allowing the soft tissue to hang down.
2. Measure 4 cm above the distal end of the residual limb. Make a small
mark on the dressing/ residual limb.
3. Measure the circumference of the residual limb at the mark to
determine the correct liner size (Fig. 1).
4. Select a liner matching the actual circumference measured, or the
next available smaller size.
Example:
If the residual limb measures 24,5 cm at the indicated location, choose
liner size 23,5 instead of size 25.
COMPRESSION THERAPY
Wound Dressing
Place a bandage over the wound area. An occlusive dressing is favorable
for effective wound healing. Use an absorbent dressing (Fig. 2).
