1.2. Connecting the backrest to the booster seat
(only if assembled separately)
If backrest (B) and booster (C) are delivered in a non-assembled way,
please follow these instructions to connect both together before using
it for children in group I, II & III:
Lay down the booster on the fl oor and the backrest fl at right behind.
Then thread the connecting hooks (R) on the bottom of the backrest
into the fi tting holes (S) on the back of the booster (C)
with a fi rm downwards movement.
Now bring the backrest slowly upright (90° to the booster).
The connecting hooks should now slip into the fi tting holes
with an audible sound. As a result the backrest should be well fi xed to the
booster in an upright position. It must not slip away now.
Otherwise you may not have fi xed it very well and using it would
be dangerous.
In this case please repeat the fi rst steps of this part of the instruction.

1.3. Adjusting HEYNER® MultiProtect ERGO 3D-SP to your child's size
1.3.1. Preparation
HEYNER® MultiProtect ERGO 3D-SP is equipped with a head cushion
and a reduction cushion, to assure special protection of small children
starting from 9kg weight. We recommend to remove the reduction
cushion when the child has a weight of 18kg.
HEYNER® MultiProtect ERGO 3D-SP has its own belt system (D)
- the harness belts - which needs to be adjusted to your child's size
as follows: Place HEYNER® MultiProtect ERGO 3D-SP on a normal chair
and set your child in it. To ensure optimum positioning of the belts,
make sure that the shoulder belts (D1) run down from just above the
child's shoulders, not too high above them and not too low.
Don't leave your child unattended in the seat!
1.3.2. Adjusting the headrest to the child's size
Only an optimally adjusted head rest ensures maximum protection.
With the other hand loosen the lever (Z) on the back of the head rest
by pulling it backwards at the same time. Hold the loosened lever and
pull the head rest simultaneously up or down, according to the child's
size. Release the lever. The head rest needs to be fi xed in one of the
guide wholes with an audible sound.
Please check by pulling on the head rest, if it does not move anymore
without pulling the lever. The space between the lower edge of
the head rest and the shoulder of the child should be 2 fi nger widths.
The headrest is adjustable in 7 diff erent positions.
