9. Execution of the cleaning program

Before running the cleaning program, carefully clean the device as described in chapter 8 Cleaning the device.
1. Attach the connecting element (2) with the tubing to the lid (9) so that the two snaps are firmly in place as
shown in Figure 3.
2. Place the resistance setting ring (4) and the mouthpiece (5) into the basket (10)
3. Attach the basket (10) to the lid (9) as shown in Figure 4.
4. Add clean and cold water so that the water level is in between the MIN and MAX fill level marks (7).
5. Close the lid (9) as shown in Figure 5.
6. Place the device on the power base (15) and plug the power cable (14) into the grounded mains supply.
7. Select the cleaning program by pressing the cleaning button
nal.
8. The indicator light on the cleaning button blinks quickly and the device starts heating the water. Do not open the
lid while water is heating.
9. When the water reaches boiling point the heating process stops but the cleaning program continues for approx.
20 minutes, after which:
 The device emits a long sound signal.
 The indicator light on the cleaning button stops blinking and remains steady. Be careful with the hot
surfaces of the main body (8).
10.When the main body (8) has cooled down, lift it off the power base (15), open the lid (9) and remove the basket
(10) carefully.
11.Drain the excess water from the connecting element (2), resistance setting ring (4), and mouthpiece (5) and
leave them dry.
12.Pour the water out of the device and wipe it dry.

Do not open the lid (9) while the cleaning program is on.

To prevent microbial growth, it is important to periodically run the cleaning program.

It is recommended to run the cleaning program:
 before using the device for the first time
 after every fifth usage but minimum after every tenth usage
 after a prolonged period of non-use (e.g. one month)
 whenever the device has been used by others

Always store the device dry. Never leave water inside the device or tubing.

The device emits steam from the ventilation hole (11) during the cleaning process. Do not put your hands over
the ventilation hole (11) during any operation.

Never fill the water vessel above the MAX fill level mark! Overfilling may lead to malfunction or / and scalding
injuries.

Always fill the device with cold water as the cleaning program can be started only when the temperature of the
water is below 40 °C.
