8. Operation

Under no circumstances may the device be used on live installations/cables. Bear this
in mind when inserting and changing the batteries.
a) Inserting/changing the batteries
• Open the battery compartment (10) (click and pull out the battery compartment cover).
• Insert two AA batteries (included) with the correct polarity into the battery compartment (10).
Observe the polarity information in the battery compartment (plus/+ and minus/-).
• To change the batteries, remove the old batteries before inserting the new batteries.
Always change the batteries when the battery symbol flashes red on the LC display.
Pressing buttons generates screen flicker and the accuracy of the measurements may
be affected.
