If the fire has burned down too low (too small an ember), it may take longer time to get
the fire going again. In order to light up the fire, it is recommended to use kindling wood.
When firing the smoke out of the chimney should be almost invisible; just a 'flicker' in the
air is opserved.
When refueling, open the door carefully to avoid smoke escaping. never add wood while
it is burning (flames!) in the stove.
RaIS recommends to refuel with 2-4 pieces wood - approx. 1½ - 2½ kg - within
49 minutes (intermittent operation).

keep an eye on the stove when lighting.
During operation the door should always remain shut.
be careful, as all external surfaces will be very hot to touch when in operation.

control

look for signs that indicates a correct firing in the stove:
• ash is white
• the walls in the combustion chambers are free from soot
conclusion: the wood is sufficiently dry
