FUNCTIONAL CHECKS

AND FIRST START-UP

Check that the filter cartridge is present in its container and
that the cover is firmly closed (see the chapter on maintenance
of the cartridge filter).
Check that installation is complete in every detail.
Also check that the discharge valves on the base of the spa
(or the ball valves, if these have been installed instead) are
closed. Refer to the pre-installation instructions.
NOTE: the pipe that connects the overflow of the compensa-
tion tanks to the drain must always be left open (refer to the
pre-installation instructions).
Check that the gate valve on the pipe for filling/topping off
the compensation tanks is open.
Check that all the hydromassage intakes are open.
Turn on the omnipolar switch(es) located on the power line (see
the chapter "ELECTRIC CONNECTIONS AND SAFETY").
Press the TEST button of the differential switch located up-
stream from the electrical system to which the spa is connect-
ed. If it does not trip, it may be faulty or it may have tripped due
to problems in the electrical system.
Disconnect the spa and do not use it until you have e-
liminated the defect.
Fill the spa until water comes out of the overflow channel
and then direct it into the compensation tanks.
if you use the hose to water the garden, let the wa-
NOTE:
ter run for a short time before filling the spa. This will e-
liminate stagnant water in the hose.
Check that the various couplings and clamps provide a per-
fect seal.
When the minimum level switch on the compensation tank is
closed, automatic filling of water also starts through the solenoid
valve. This is indicated on the display by the message "Fill".
You can now close manual water filling.
NOTE: if the minimum level switch does not give permission,
the system will remain shut down, including the filling solenoid.
See the chapter on error messages. During initial filling, until
the water reaches the operating level, all spa functions con-
trolled by the electrical panel are locked, except for water fill-
ing through solenoid valve. This protects the entire system
(dry running of pumps, heating start-up, etc.).
When the level of water in the compensation tanks, the so-
lenoid valve is de-activated (the operating level has been
reached).
