4. IMPORTANT SAFETY INSTRUCTIONS

4.1 Setting up the device

Set up device only under a fume hood and on a horizontal, solid and safe base made of stainless steel, bent on
all sides, grease-tight welded. The appliance must be equipped with a fat pan during operation and must not be
left unattended.
Attention: When installing this unit in the immediate vicinity of (dividing) walls, kitchen furniture, decorative
panels, etc., it is required that these be made of non-combustible material; otherwise they must be clad with
non-combustible, heat-insulating material: The fire protection regulations must be carefully observed!

4.2 Authorized persons

Only persons who have read the operating and maintenance instructions or have been instructed to do so may
work on this device.

4.3 Safety instructions on contact with hot surfaces

Since the grill unit generates high temperatures during operation, the upper side housing parts, the upper part
of the rear wall and the housing cover should not be touched. The control surface of the heating switch is
completely safe.
Attention: If the radiators are switched on, you risk getting burnt if you touch them!

4.4 Electrical safety instructions

Only authorized electricians may set up the connections in accordance with the relevant regulations of the VDE
and the respective local regulations. Mains are connected via the side rubber hose. On site, an all-pole
disconnecting device with at least 3 mm contact opening must be connected in advance, which can be used to
disconnect the device during repair or cleaning work.
Compare mains voltage and current type with the enclosed device wiring diagram. Care must be taken that the
network connection is made with separate N and SL conductors.
Attention: When replacing the wiring cables, only use silicone cables that are approved for continuous operation
from -50 ° C to + 180 ° C. When replacing the power cord, please use oil resistant and flame retardant rubber
hoses, such as H07RN-F cable.

4.5 Handling in case of fire hazard

If, during operation, the hot grease ignites, immediately disconnect the mains plug or switch off the
corresponding fuses.
Attn.: Do not extinguish using water - use a carbon dioxide (CO2) extinguisher! If necessary use blankets, towels
or the like to stifle the flames.
