CHANGING SHOES
Check that the new shoe has the notch
required to lock it in the shoe holder. Never
ride without the pin.
Remove the pins using a flat screw driver,
change the shoes taking care observe their
alignment, then replace the pins (Fig. 26).
The rear brake is fitted at works in accordance with the manufacturer's instructions.
N.B. : The sheaths supplied should be used for the front brake, in the same way as for the
rear brake. The use of any other type of sheath (in particular aluminium bead or double-coa-
ted "more rigid" sheaths) is not advisable.
Assembly :
1 / Mark your brake sheath approx. 200 mm from the end.
2 / Pass the rear brake sheath (on the marked side) through ② (Fig. 2) ) to brake the rear wheel
with the right hand (EU) lever or through ③ (Fig. 2) to brake using the left hand lever (UK). Bring
your sheath out through ⑤ (Fig. 1)) for approx. 50 cm.
IMPORTANT : make sure that the brake
sheath is above the derailleur sheath in
entry ② or ③ (Fig. 2).
3 / Position the foam tube on the brake
sheath from your mark. Fix the foam tube on
the brake sheath using adhesive tape. Guide
the sheath to 170mm from the end (Fig. 27).
Leave some slack ; the sheath must not be
taut inside the frame.
