26. Troubleshooting

This model and the remote control were built using the latest technology. However, faults and malfunction may still
occur. We would, therefore, like to show you how to correct potential faults.
Problem
The transmitter does not respond, the LEDs do
not go on.
The red LED on the transmitter flashes and the
transmitter emits alarm beeps.
The model does not react; the LEDs in the
quadrocopter flash.
LEDs on the quadrocopter do not switch on.
Propellers do not start.
The quadrocopter tilts to the side on start-up.
The quadrocopter has too little power or short
flight times.
The quadrocopter always flies in one direction.
The quadrocopter does not do flips.
The quadrocopter vibrates during flight.
The quadrocopter does not take off.
Quadrocopter responds very sluggishly to the
control commands.

Solution
• Check the non-rechargeable batteries in the transmitter.
• Check the polarity of the batteries in the remote control.
• Check the on/off switch.
• Check or replace the batteries in the transmitter.
• Check the function of the remote control transmitter.
• Perform the quadrocopter switch-on process again.
• Check that the quadrocopter rechargeable battery is in-
serted correctly.
• Recharge the quadrocopter rechargeable battery for testing
purposes.
• Check the quadrocopter rechargeable battery charge level.
• Recharge the quadrocopter rechargeable battery for testing
purposes.
• Repeat the power on procedure.
• Repeat the switch on sequence of the quadrocopter and do
not move the model while doing so.
• Check the ease of movement of the drive motor.
• Calibrate the position sensors.
• Check the quadrocopter rechargeable battery charge level.
• Replace the quadrocopter rechargeable battery.
• Adjust the trim on the transmitter.
• Unfavourable flight conditions (wind or draughts).
• Calibrate the position sensors.
• Perform the flip when the transmitter is beeping.
• Charge the quadrocopter rechargeable battery.
• Replace the quadrocopter rechargeable battery.
• Check that the propeller turns correctly.
• Check whether the propellers have been installed correctly.
• Recharge the quadrocopter rechargeable battery.
• Replace the quadrocopter rechargeable battery.
• Switch the transmitter to sport or expert mode.
