d) Switching on the quadrocopter

The receiver and the transmitter must have the same digital coding (pairing) so that the receiver in the
quadrocopter can respond to the transmitter signals. For this reason, it is important that you switch the
quadrocopter on as described below.
First, insert the charged quadrocopter rechargeable bat-
tery into the quadrocopter as described above.
Press the function button (1) on the bottom of the quadro-
copter. The four LEDs on the bottom of the quadrocopter
(2) will light up and the quadrocopter will emit three beeps
with increasing frequency. The quadrocopter LEDs will
then flicker briefly and flash at a slow rate.
Now place the quadrocopter on a level and even start
surface.
Slide the joystick for the pitch and yaw function (11) to
the lowest position (dark arrow) and then switch on the
transmitter using the on/off switch (7).
The quadrocopter LEDs (2) will briefly illuminate.
Now promptly push the joystick for the pitch and yaw func-
tion completely forward (light arrow) and then back to the
lowest position (dark arrow).
The transmitter will emit two short beeps and the red LED
function indicator (3) on the transmitter will go out.
When the four LEDs on the quadrocopter and the blue
LED on the transmitter glow solidly, the quadrocopter is
ready to start.
Important!
If the time interval between switching on the transmitter and pushing the joystick is too long, the quadro-
copter will not recognise a valid transmitter signal. In this case, the quadrocopter LEDs will start to flash
and the quadrocopter will emit warning beeps. As soon as the joystick is moved back and forth, the LEDs
will glow steadily and the warning beep will stop.
There should be no other 2.4 GHz transmitters in the immediate vicinity during the switching on process. The quadro-
copter must not be moved or turned during the switch-on process.
To turn off the quadrocopter, press the function button on the bottom of the quadrocopter. The quadrocopter
will emit a beep and the LEDs will go out. Then remove the rechargeable battery from the quadrocopter.
Now you can also switch the transmitter off.
