Functional description

Motorized sliding elements
Sliding elements can be moved in a horizontal direction. This movement can also be automated
with a motor. To prevent injuries, the motor used has a maximum rating of 150 N and the system
is equipped with a deadman (hold to run) control.
Operating push button for automated solutions
With the operating push button, the sliding elements can be opened and closed. A teach-in
sequence run after commissioning ensures precise operation of the sliding element. During the
teach-in the sliding element is opened and closed at slow speed and the controller remembers the
start and stop points. These limit positions are then saved and define the element's travel paths
for future operation.
Perlan track
The track contains most of the system's technical elements. Beside the double roller and in rail
buffer it contains the drive and the deflection pulley.
Lower guide rail
Every sliding element needs a lower guide rail that absorbs forces perpendicular to the direction of
travel and transfers them to the floor or wall. This rail must always be fitted.
Castor carriage/suspension
The roller carriage consists of plastic rollers mounted with ball bearings. The suspension holds the
sliding panels and allows an adjustment of their height.
Drive unit
The drive unit drives the sliding elements through a toothed belt attached to a coupling. It is con-
trolled through the operating push buttons. The drive unit must be mounted in such a way that it is
not directly exposed to rain or other precipitation.
Toothed belt
The toothed belt runs over a deflection pulley and connects the sliding element with the drive. It is
cut to the required length before installation and connected with a toothed belt clamp.

Optional extras

Additional control elements
If required, up to two additional devices, such as sensors or smoke detectors, can be connected.
These are not supplied by GEZE.
