Test gas will be supplied without the pump's operation. Press key
of test set (pict. C - pos. 3) until the display reaches its maximum
value. A meter display between 40 and 56 %LEL (with methane
calibration) indicates that the detector is still servicable. A sensitivity
differing from the nominal value (50 %LEL) must be considered
when operating the detector.

End of functioning

Refer to the operating instructions ELAD!
If there are greater deviations from the nominal value the detector
must be opened by an expert to check the sensitivity of the sensors.
Safety locks must be opened and an electric measurement must
be carried out with the electronic measurement adapter ELAD while
test gas is applied.
The signal (not amplified) must reach at least
22 mV / 2.20 vol% CH .

Otherwise the sensor head has to be checked in the factory and, if
necessary, replaced. In this case the complete equipment must
be returned to the factory.
If the not amplified signal has not yet fallen-short of its minimum
value a readjustment of the detector can be carried out: Adjust
zero with R6 while fresh air is applied. Then supply test gas
(2.20 % CH ) to the sensor head with the test set until the maximum

value will be displayed. Trimmer R12 is then used for re-calibration
to 50 %LEL while further test gas is supplied.
