Recharging
Recharging must be carried out with recharger model MZ (refer to
section 4.1).
Recharging of the detector must only be
carried out outside hazardous areas!

Measuring systems
LEL MEASURING SYSTEM
The life of the LEL sensor does not depend on the operation hours.
It is subject to natural ageing and it can also be influenced by
mechanical or chemical interfering factors, such as the existence of
phosphate-ester, silicon- or lead containing vapours and halogens.
Any interruption of the sensor circuit will trigger a constant alarm
and will also produce "% UEG" flashes (refer to section 2.4).
0 2 MEASURING SYSTEM
The life of the oxygen sensor is approx. 12 months, independent of
the detector's operation time.
Changes of the measuring values due to a ageing of the sensor can
be adjusted by a set-screw which is situated behind a boring in the
housing underneath the right loop of the carrying strap. If a value of
20.9 vol% oxygen will not be reached in clean air adjustment is
necessary.
The sensor must be exchanged at the latest when the end of the set-
screw range is reached.
The measuring cell will be accessible after the perforated sensor
head (pos. 16) has been unscrewed. An auxiliary tool is available
for this purpose.
