CLEANING AND CARE

1. Before cleaning, pull the plug and let the electric kettle cool down completely.
2. Never submerge the kettle or the appliance base in water or spray any water on
the appliance parts. Risk of electric shock!
3. Clean the outside of the kettle and the appliance base with a slightly moist cloth
and dry the inside of the kettle. Rinse the lid with warm dishwater and a soft cloth
and then dry it. Do not use any aggressive cleaning agents or solvents and no
scratching materials to clean the appliance, this might damage the surfaces.

D E S C A L I N G
• After prolonged use or through hard water, lime deposits can form in the ket-
tle and reduce operating performance and impair the water taste.
• Solis recommends regularly (depending on water hardness, however at least once
a month) descaling your kettle with a mixture of SOLIPOL

caused by the use of unsuitable descaling agent are not covered by warranty.
• Please note the dosages and application times given on the SOLIPOL
• After emptying out the descaling solution, you have to fill the kettle with fresh,
cold tap water to the MAX marking, bring it to the boil and pour the water out
again each time to remove all remains of the descaling solution. Do this three
times and under all circumstances.

STORAGE
• When the electric kettle is not needed, it should be disconnected from the power
and dried.
• Store the cool, clean and dry appliance in an upright position, best in the orig-
inal packaging. Do not place any objects on the appliance.
