Multimeter

You may only use the test leads with an anti-
contact protection as provided. Always plug in
the test leads to the KTS 520/550 first and then
to the vehicle.
Do not route any unshielded test cables in the
vicinity of powerful sources of interference,
such as; e.g. ignition cable. Use the shielded
test cable 1 684 465 490 (special equipment) for
high-resistance sensor signals with low levels.
Use the KTS 520/550 on the vehicle only and
not for measurements of AC/DC voltages >
60 V. If a diagnosis cable is not connected,
then prior to any U-, R- or I-measurements
a ground connection must be set up for the
KTS 520/550 (Fig. 2, Pos. 1) using the enc-
losed ground cable to the vehicle ground. If
measurements are taken without a ground
cable hazardous voltages may arise as
a consequence of charging. Connect the
ground cable as close to the test object as
is possible.
