b) Radio camera

• Screw the (white) aerial to the respective socket on the rear of the radio camera. The aerial can be aligned in dif-
ferent angles to improve reception.
• The enclosed holder can be screwed to the bottom or the top of the radio camera, depending on where the radio
camera is to be installed.
The sun shade can be removed depending on the installation site (e.g. indoors). For this, simply push it out
forwards or backwards.
The sun shade prevents damage to the electronics in the radio camera from overheating at longer expo-
sure to sunlight. If the installation location is temporarily exposed to the sun, the sun shade must not be
taken off of the radio camera.
• Attach the holder with suitable screws and, if applicable, dowels, depending on basis. When drilling or tightening
screws, ensure that no wires or lines are damaged.
Before firm assembly, first check whether the radio transmission between radio camera and screen/DVR is
proper.
Many ambience conditions have a negative influence on the range and quality of radio reception that can
be achieved. See chapter 18 in these operating instructions for this.
Select the assembly site so that it is protected from manipulation attempts at the radio camera. The radio
camera therefore should be installed at a minimum height of 2.5 m.
We recommend choosing a site protected from precipitation/splashing water when using it outdoors (e.g.
below a protruding roof), since drop formation of splashing water on the front screen of the radio camera
will cause the image to be distorted and useless.
• Point the lens of the radio camera at the desired monitoring area. Precisely adjustment can be done later, when the
radio camera image is visible on the screen/DVR.
• Place the cable to the mains adapter, e.g. in a suitable cable duct or similar. The connection plug for the power
connection is protected against moisture. However, it must not be put in or under water. We recommend placing it
where it is protected from direct rain.
If the connection cables must be guided through a wall, protect the plugs from dust and dirt, e.g., with a small plastic
pocket or similar.
• Observe that the housing (21) with the microphone in it is placed in a suitable location. Align the microphone
openings so that they point towards the camera monitoring area. Fasten the housing or cable, e.g., with cable ties.
On the other side of the housing (21), there is a small, square button. This serves to log on the radio camera
to the screen/DVR ("Pairing"). Observe that this button is not pushed inadvertently. Leave some distance
between the housing/button and assembly surface.
• Connect the low-voltage round plug of the second (smaller) mains adapter (output voltage 5 V/DC, output current
1 A) with the corresponding round socket of the radio camera.
The mains adapter is only suitable for operation in dry, closed rooms. It must never become moist or wet.
There is a fatal danger from electric shock!
• The radio camera is now ready for operation.
