3.8.6 Smart Discard

The BIG 10 supports an innovative function to discard packets earlier depending on its priori-
ty. This prevents resource shortages of the QoS queues by packets with lower priority, in case
the bandwidth shaping allows only a low bandwidth for a port.
The "Smart Discard" function can be configured for each port separately. The modes have the
following function:
Mode
Mode 0
Mode 1
Mode 2
Mode 3

3.8.7 Port Security

Port security allows filtering Ethernet frames at a certain LAN port coming from dynamically
learned or statically edited MAC addresses.
Note: The Port Security function is disabled at the relevant ports, in case the MAC-
address filter is inactive and value "0" has been selected for MAC-address limita-
tion.

3.8.8 Statistics

On this page you can get statistical information for each switch port of your BIG 10.

3.8.9 Monitoring

This site allows you to configure, in how far incoming and/or outgoing data traffic of a discre-
tionary LAN Port or resp. WAN Port shall be mirrored to another LAN Port.
