WLAN
In this menu can the WLAN access point be configured.
Note
It is required to finally press the "Save Settings" button to accept the changes of
the configuration. This step is necessarily required because otherwise all settings
will be lost after restarting the device!
3.5.1 Settings
The basic settings of the WLAN access point can in this menu be configured. The access
point can be switched on and off with using the checkbox „activate Wireless LAN". The
WLAN SSID can be configured and selected whether this name shall be broadcasted or not.
3.5.2 Safety
The security features of the WLAN access point can be configured in this menu. The encryp-
tion standard selected and the WLAN encryption key entered. Furthermore the authentication
method local (PSK) or via a central RADIUS server can be configured. .
Note
It is recommended to secure a WLAN network using the latest encryption me-
thod! Older methods than WPA2 are not safe anymore.
3.5.3 MAC Address Filter
A MAC address filter can be used to achieve at least a minimum security level of your net-
work. The filter can prevent accessing the device from computer or other network devices
with a given MAC address.
Note
MAC addresses can easily be counterfeited. This filter is not a protective instru-
ment against hackers.
3.5.4 Clients
This list shows the MAC addresses of connected WLAN clients.

Extras
This site allows you to determine upon outgoing (egress) data traffic in how far the DSCP-
value (DSCP - DiffServ Code Point) of the IP-packets which are received from the LAN (on-
ly network mode router) shall be manipulated by the BIG 10 in the Type-Of-Service-Field of
the IP-Header.
If the DSCP-value shall be changed as fixed value, then select "Remarking - active".
Use "Remarking - enhanced", if you wish to have the DSCP-value individually adjusted for
certain destination IP-addresses. Up to 20 destinations can be edited.
