Side button
The Rotary Knob and Side buttons programming are paired. When the Rota-
ry Knob is set to Volume or Dual, the Side buttons support the One-Touch
Button feature. By default, the upper Side button is set to backlight and the
lower Side button is set to screen saver.

Press Left or Right Soft key, to select the option that appears on the screen
directly above the them.

Press to initiate or answer duplex calls, or send messages.

Provides alphanumeric text and images within 65,536 colors and 130 x 130

Press and rotate to select a different talkgroup.
Press and hold the Rotary Knob to lock it, press and hold it again to un-
lock. Powering off also unlocks a locked Rotary Knob.
NOTICE: The required time to press and hold Side button to activate
a One-Touch Button feature is set as default to 0,1 second.
Press and hold to talk in simplex calls or to initiate a group call, release it to
listen.
Press to send status and text messages.
NOTICE:
To ensure correct connection, do not press any RSM buttons when
connecting the RSM to the radio.
Your service provider can activate the Y-Cable Mode that allows you
to connect a special Y-cable to the side connector. The Y-cable ena-
bles the simultaneous use of audio and data accessories. If the Y-
Cable Mode is activated, you cannot attach a standard audio acces-
sory directly to the side connector, nor use audio accessories that
have the Emergency button.
