2.1 Intended use

The pressure measuring instruments described here are suitable for pressure measure-
ment in hazardous areas.
The non-observance of the instructions for use in hazardous areas can lead to the loss of
the explosion protection.
The model DPG40 with ATEX option is suitable for the following hazardous areas:

2.2 Responsibility of the operator

The responsibility for classification of zones lies with the plant operator and not the
manufacturer/supplier of the equipment.

Designation Significance
CE marking Conformity markings in accordance with appendix X of
the ATEX directive. The manufacturer shall apply it before
placing on the market.
Instrument group The unit may be used in hazardous areas, except within
the mining industry.
