Procedure:
– Connect the connecting line 1 684 462 511 (1) of the CRE 800
control device to adapter lines (2 and 3) on the solenoid valves
DMV1, DMV2 and the rpm sensor (speed sensor) of the
common-rail pump.
i To connect the connector cable (see Fig. 5, Pos. 1) the
multipurpose adapter lines with flat-type connector 1 684
460 256 (see Fig. 5, Pos. 2) can also be used. These are
available in the delivery specification of the CRS 845 tester
set.
The polarity of the electrical terminal of the solenoid valves
DMV1 and DMV2 is optional. For this reason, it is not
necessary to observe the polarity for adaptation with the
multipurpose adapter lines 1 684 460 256.
! Do not use the multipurpose adapter line with flat-type
connector 1 684 460 256 for adaptation on the rpm sensor
(speed sensor) of the CP 2 common-rail pump.
! Connector cable 1 684 462 499 may not be used for testing
CP 2 common-rail pumps.

Important information on adjusting the
overflow pressure
This chapter only applies with the hydraulic pump connection in
combination with the CP 3.x supplementary equipment set
1 687 010 135 (see Chapter 6.2).
! Note the test and repair instructions for high-pressure
pumps in the ESI[tronic].

If the following instructions are not adhered to then
the overflow pressure gauge may be damaged.

Procedure:
! Before starting the pump test the return cock (1) has to be
fully opened.
1.
Start the pump test.
2.
Slowly close the return cock (1) to approx. 45°.
3.
Use the pressure control valve to set the overflow pressure
for the overflow.
4.
Continue with the pump test.
5.
Once the pump test has been concluded, open the return
cock again.
