Connect satellite aerial

In order to get a signal from the satellite the aerial must be installed such
that it points towards the relevant satellite to the south (towards the
Equator) without optical barriers.
The best way is to use a compass so that the aerial can be aligned precisely
to the satellite. The precise alignment is made using the so-called azimuth
angle. This varies with your location. In the appendix you will find a table
with the appropriate value for your location or region.
Note
For high compass precision ensure that you are not close to large
metal objects or electric cables when taking the reading. Take the
reading several times.
Ensure that there are no barriers such as buildings or trees in front of the
aerial. These can adversely affect the quality of the signal reception. Also
consider the fact that trees grow and can block the signal.
Select an easily accessible location and be aware of the risk of falling or
tripping. Protect yourself and the installation location against such
hazards. Plan so that you can go past your cable to your digital receiver
without being hindered by the aerial.
The aerial should not be too far from your satellite receiver.
