Torque value of clamping screw: 3 Nm (2.2 ft. lbf. / 26.5 lbf.in.).
Torque value of adjustment screws of the adapters: 9 Nm (6.5 ft. lbf. / 80 lbf. in.)
Use 710D4 Torque Wrench.
Secure the screws by means of 636K13 Loctite.
7 Cosmetic foam cover
Use the 3R48 Foam Cover for Knee Joint 3R65.
Attention!
Do not use talcum powder to eliminate noise in the cosmetic foam cover. Talcum powder
reduces the lubrication of the mechanical parts, which may lead to a malfunction and
thus increase the risk of failure. Using this medical product after application of talcum
powder will render all claims null and void.
Note:
To reduce friction and to eliminate noise, please apply 519L5 Silicone Spray directly on
the contact surfaces of the cosmetic foam cover.

8 Maintenance instructions

Attention!
Do not disassemble the joint! In case of any problems please return the entire joint to
Ottobock.
Please examine the modular knee joint after it has been in use for a few weeks as well as
every three months and make any necessary adjustments. Whenever servicing the knee,
replace the Rubber Stop.
8.1 4D17 Single-component-pack
Consisting of 1 oval head screw, 1 rubber stop.
