→ Should the BionicLink come into contact with liquids, allow the BionicLink to dry. The Bion­
icLink must then be sent to an authorised Ottobock Service Centre for inspection.
NOTICE
Mechanical overloading
This may lead to malfunctioning or defects in the BionicLink.
→ Do not subject the BionicLink to mechanical vibration or impacts.
→ Make sure that the wireless adapter cable of the BionicLink is not kinked or pinched.
→ Do not continue to use the BionicLink if the wireless adapter cable or the casing of the Bion­
icLink is visibly damaged. The BionicLink must then be sent to an authorised Ottobock Ser­
vice Centre for inspection.
NOTICE
Proximity to sources of strong magnetic or electrical interference
This can lead to malfunctioning of the BionicLink.
→ Avoid proximity to sources of strong magnetic and electrical interference (e.g. high-voltage
cables, transmitters, transformer stations, computed tomography, etc.).

Independent manipulation
This may lead to malfunctioning or defects in the BionicLink.
→ The BionicLink may only be opened and repaired by an authorised Ottobock Service techni­
cian.

Exposure to high temperatures
This may lead to malfunctioning or defects in the BionicLink.
→ Avoid exposure to extremely high temperatures (allowable temperature range see Page 11).

The BionicLink may only be used within an orthopaedic technology workshop or during inpatient
stays in a rehabilitation facility.

The BionicLink must be removed from the patient's orthosis after adjustment.

The BionicLink cannot recognise any defects in the orthosis by itself. For this reason, attentive
observation by the prosthetist/orthotist and knowledge about the function of the orthotic system
are indispensable.

The BionicLink is powered by the battery in the orthotic system. For this reason, the adjustments
should only be made when the battery in the orthotic system is fully charged.
