12. Recycling of residual gold:

• The recycling process is effected directly through the unit (see the unit's Instructions for Use).
• The recycling cathode is colour-coded in red.
• The amount of liquid has to be entered.
• Alternatively, the recycling sponge can also be used.

13. Solaris: Examples of bar attachments:

The DeguDent Solaris galvano system can be used for electroplating bar sleeves with a surface
of up to 2200 mm for one bar and a surface of 1100 mm
2
With bars, you should aim at a thickness of the electroplating layer of 300 µm.
Example for bars:
Formula: Surface F = (width x length) + 2 x (height x length)
Approximations:
Current level 1: 50 mm 2
Current level 2: 65 mm 2
Current level 3: 90 mm 2
Current level 4: 115 mm 2
Current level 5: 150 mm 2
Current level 6: 200 mm 2
Current level 7: 265 mm 2
Current level 8: 300 mm 2
Example:
2 bar abutments (current levels 4 and 5) plus bar sleeve (length, 25 mm; height, 4 mm; width, 3 mm)
Calculation:
2 bar abutments = 115 mm 2 + 150 mm 2 = 265 mm
Bar sleeve = (3 mm x 25 mm) + 2 x (4 mm x 25 mm) = 275 mm
Total area: 265 mm 2 + 275 mm 2 = 540 mm 2
