5.1 Port configuration

Both Reader ports (RS232 and LAN/WLAN) can be used for communication. The Reader
automatically detects which port is being used for communication. The RS232 port is used as a
service port and thus has higher priority. If communication takes place on the RS232 port, the
other port is disabled for a time of 10 seconds. This lockout can be cancelled by means of a reset.

5.1.1 Ethernet Interface(ID ISC.MR200-EP)

The prerequisite for using TCP/IP protocol is that each device on the network have a unique IP
address. All Readers have been assigned a factory default IP address.
