5. Operating instructions
Switching the speaker on
1. Turn on the speaker using the [ MASTER VOLUME ] (8) control. The battery level
indicator (10) shows the battery's charge level. Connect the power cable to
charge the battery if it is not fully charged.
2. Connect one or several audio sources and adjust their volumes using their
respective controls (1), (2) and (13). Turn the controls clockwise to increase their
respective volumes and anti-clockwise to reduce or turn off their volumes.
3. Adjust the main volume by using the [ MASTER VOLUME ] (8) control.
4. The speaker can operate from the integrated rechargeable battery or from
the mains. The battery level indicator (10) shows the battery's charge level.
A fully charged battery will provide up to 12 hours of operating time. Actual power
consumption depends on several factors such as volume settings and
temperature. Connect to the mains if the bottom two red battery indicators
LEDs are lit.
Switching the speaker off
Turn the [ MASTER VOLUME ] (8) to the OFF position.
Charging the built-in battery
Connect the power cable to charge the battery if it is not fully charged. The charging
indicator consists of a green LED.
• The indicator flashes during charging.
• The indicator is a steady green when the battery is fully charged.
A completely discharged battery requires about 8 hours to fully charge. Before initially
using the speaker you should charge the speaker's internal battery for a full 12 hours
to ensure maximum performance for the life of the battery. If the speaker has not been
used for more than 2 months, you should charge it for at least 8 hours before running
the speaker from the battery.
The battery is protected by an integrated under-voltage relay which turns off
the speaker if the battery is, or becomes discharged. If this happens the speaker's
battery must be recharged before the speaker can be run from the battery again.
Note: Make sure to charge the speaker's battery immediately after purchase.
An uncharged battery left discharged for a long time will be ruined.
