RISK OF FIRE AND EXPLOSION
Flammable fumes in the work area, such as solvent and paint fumes, in the work area may ignite or explode.
Paint or solvent flowing through the device may cause static spark formation. This thus reduces the risk of fire
and explosion:
• Only use device in well-ventilated areas.
• Eliminate possible sources of ignition, such as pilot lights, cigarettes, flashlights and plastic protective shee-
ting (risk of static spark formation).
• Earth all devices in the work area. See earthing instructions.
• Never spray or rinse solvent under high pressure.
• Keep the work area free from clutter, including solvents, cloths and petrol.
• Do not insert or unplug any power cables and do not actuate any light or power switches when flammable
vapours are present.
• Use only earthed hoses.
• Hold the gun firmly to the side of the earthed pail when spraying into it. Only use antistatic or conductive
bucket inserts.
• Stop operation immediately as soon as static spark formation occurs or an electric shock is felt. Only use the
device again once the problem has been identified and corrected.
• An operational fire extinguisher must be present in the work area at all times.
