Safety instructions

The following warnings relate to the setting up, operation, earthing, maintenance and repairs of the product.
The exclamation mark icon indicates a general warning, and the hazard icon refers to risks that occur during
some types of work. Regularly check said warnings. Additional product-specific instructions are found at
appropriate places throughout this manual.
Grounding Instructions
This product must be grounded. In case of a short circuit, earthing reduces the danger of electric shock as the electricity
uses the earth wire to dissipate. The product is equipped with a cable that includes a grounding circuit and a grounding
plug. Makes sure that the plug is inserted into a socket that has been installed and earthed in line with applicable regu-
lations.
Earthing
Risk of electric shock in case of incorrect installation of the grounding plug.
Do not connect the grounding circuit to one of the flat terminals in case of repairs or replacements of the
cable or plug.
The insulated conductor with the green sheath with/without yellow stripes is the grounding circuit.
Contact an electrician or maintenance engineer if you are unable to completely understand the grounding
instructions or if you are unsure of whether or not you have grounded the product correctly.
Do not modify the plug provided. If it will not fit in the socket outlet, an electrician must install a matching
socket outlet.
This product is designed for connection to an electric circuit with a nominal voltage of 240 V.
It is equipped with a grounding plug similar to the one illustrated on the figure.
Exclusively connect the product to sockets of the same type as the plug.
Do not use adapters with this product.
Extension cable
Use a 3 wire extension cable with a grounded safety plug and a matching socket to hold the plug on the
product.
Make sure that the extension lead is not damaged. If an extension cable is required, it must have a mini-
mum diameter of 2.5 mm2 (AWG 12) for the power supply of the product.
An insufficient cable size causes the voltage to drop, impacting the performance and causing overheating.
