Electric built-in tubular heating element
for air-to-water heat pump
Installation instruction
1.1 General safety information
ATTENTION !
Always disconnect the power supply before carrying out any work on the
heat pump. The electrician must ensure through suitable measures that
the installation is disconnected from the power supply (all poles). Only
then can the replacement or installation of the tubular heating element be
started.
During operation, the tubular heater must be filled with water or allow an unobstructed water flow. Air pockets in
the heating element can damage or destroy it.
1.2 Installation of the electric heating element
When installing the tubular heating element, the bottom front panel of the heat pump must be removed to
enable access to the switch box and the installation position. The switch box can be removed and put to one
side for more freedom during installation. If the heat pump has already been integrated on the heating side or
the buffer tank has been filled, the ball valves in the device must be shut off and the heating water must be
drained off via the filling and drain valve. In the installation area of the heater and the relevant section of piping,
the heating water must be drained off via the draining facility shown (see Figure 2).

ATTENTION !
In addition to the applicable VDE standards and regulations and the
DVGW regulations, the connection conditions of the local power and
water supply companies must be observed. The electrical connection
must only be carried out by an electrical engineering specialist.
