Set the machine to the right degree of grinding and to the right quantity of
ground coffee, keeping in mind that:
A too coarse grinding and few ground coffee in the brewing cup will cause
a quick delivery of light coffee without cream.
A too fine grinding and too much ground coffee in the brewing cup will
cause a slow delivery of very strong coffee.

CLEANING THE MACHINE

WARNING: always unplug the machines (12) before cleaning.
Do not wash any component in a dishwasher and do not plunge the
machine into water.
1 – DAILY: empty and clean containers (14) (16) (20).
Clean the inside of the machine opening the front door (22) and clean the
inside using the brush supplied (15).
2 – PERIODICALLY: clean the coffee hopper (23) by pulling it out only
after having opened the door (22) and drawn out the locking lever (25),
and the body using a damp sponge.
MALFUNCTIONING
Lights dont't go on: machine not plugged in (12) properly.
Main switch (5) off. Front door (22) open.
Coffee doesn't come out: No water and yellow light (7) is on.
Steam spout (11) is outwards rather than inwards.
Only water comes out: Coffee hopper (23) is empfty.
Wash button (3) was accidentally pressed.
Machine doesn't produce steam: Steam spout (11) is not outwards.
Check that the spout hole is not blocked and clean it with a pin if
necessary.

MAINTENANCE

Water contains lime which, over time, deposits in the pipes of the machine
and can eventually obstruct the passages. To avoid this, clean the machine
with a scale remover liquid periodically. Pour the scale remover into the
water tank (20) and than fill it with water. Press button (3) and turn the
selection knob for coffee water quantity (10) towards maximum. Use a
cup to collect the water coming out during this operation. Carry out this
procedure with the steam spout (11) as well.
