MACHINE PREPARATION

Carefully unpack the coffee machine and put it on a flat surface.
Check that the supply voltage of the place where you will plug in the
machine corresponds to that one written on the plate put on the machine
bottom. Turn the steam spout (11) outwards:
in this way you will be able to take out the tanks (20-16-14) and to
clean them. Afterwards put the longer water tank (20) on the left paying
attention not to press the intake and escape water tubes which have to be
placed inside the tank. The spent coffee container (14) on the right. The
drip tray (16) and the drip tray grid (17) in the centre. Replace the steam
spout (11) inwards.
USING THE MACHINE
MAKING YOUR FIRST COFFEE
Put coffee beans in the hopper (23) and close it with the hopper cover
(24). Fill the water tank (20) with water. Insert the plug (12) into the
socket, making sure that the socket is grounded.

Switch on the main power switch (5) provided with warning light and
check that the front door (22) is closed and locked (21).
Every time the machine is switched on (5) or the front door (22) is opened
and closed, the machine makes a self-check followed by some acoustic
signals (BEEP) of the buzzer. The machine will not work if the front door
(22) is open. The orange light (9) indicates that the machine is heating.
Wait till the orange light (9) cuts out, then carry out the following
operations:
Use the coffee water quantity selection knob (10) to select the quantity of
coffee desired. The coffee amount selection knob (10) controls the quantity

of water. Turning the knob left - higher numbers - you get a "longer
coffee", while right - lower numbers - you get a "shorter coffee".
Push button (3) "wash cycle" using a cup to collect water coming out; this
operation cleans the machine and brings it to best operating conditions
to make coffee.
The machine is now ready to make coffee.
Push coffee button (1) to make one cup of coffee.
Push coffee button (2) to make two cups of coffee (only for machines
equipped with this button).In the second case the machine will complete
two working cycles.
With a new machine we recommend to make a trial cup of coffee.
The delivery of a cup of coffee can be stopped at any time by pressing any
switch (1,2,3,4).The following adjustment devices are located inside the
front door (22): the selection knob (26) to adjust grinding: turn it
clockwise to obtain a fine grinding, counter-clockwise to obtain a coarser
grinding (the adjustment of the grinding degree is visualized on the index
next to the coffee hopper (23).
"High numbers = coarse grinding, low numbers = fine grinding".
The coffee quantity selection knob (27): it increases or decreases the
quantity of ground coffee in the coffee brewing cup:
"Turning it clockwise = more coffee"
"Turning it counter-clockwise = less coffee"

DISPENSING HOT WATER

Turn the steam spout (11) outwards. Put a container or a cup under the
steam spout (11) and push button (3) till you get the desired quantity of
water. At the end of this operation recover the steam spout (11) in its
original position.
