Combi sensor
Danger – powerful magnet
The powerful magnet of the combi sensor is
a potential risk for wearers of pacemakers.
Keep the magnet of the combi sensor well
away from pacemakers.

Mode LED
The mode button (Fig. 1, item 6) selects a different
mode (car/truck or 2-stroke/4-stroke motorcycle) each
time it is pressed. The mode selected is indicated by
the corresponding mode LED (Fig. 1, item 5).

The power supply unit voltage LED (Fig. 1, item 7)
lights (blue) when the power supply unit is connected.

Operation
Risk of injury on attaching the combi sensor
Whether engines are running or not, fingers
and arms are at risk of injury from rotating
and moving parts (e.g. belt drives, fans).
Keep hands away from rotating/moving
parts when the engine is running.
Do not position the combi sensor in the
area of rotating parts.
Before performing work on or near to elec-
trically operated fans, allow the engine to
cool down and unplug the connector at the
fan motor.
Danger of burns on attaching the combi sen-
sor
There is a risk of burns when working on a
hot engine on coming into contact with or too
close to components such as the engine, ex-
haust pipe, exhaust manifold or turbocharger.
Take appropriate precautions, e.g. wear
gloves.
Allow the engine to cool down if necessary.
Take care when attaching the combi sensor
in the vicinity of hot components.
Avoid running the engine for longer than is
necessary for measurement purposes.
