Starting Up

4.1

Safety notes

Caution: It is essential to read the General Information at the
beginning of this manual before starting up.
4.2

Checking the package contents

The package contains:
a base station
a handset
a power connection cable
a mounting bracket
4.3

Connecting the base station

Position the base station within reach of the telephone line socket and a
power outlet. The base station can also be installed on a wall (refer to
Chapter 4.4).
1. Plug the connector at one end of the power cable in the socket
marked
adapter plug in a properly installed 230 Volt mains power
outlet. The power adapter plug from the base station must
remain connected at all times. For safety reasons, only use the
power adapter plug supplied.
Note: Acces to the power adapter plug must not be obstructed by
furniture or such like.
2. Connect the telephone connection cable enclosed to the
telephone line socket F and the telephone socket
under side of the base station. Only use the telephone
connection cable supplied.
3. Lay the two cables under the base station footpads, through
the clamp towards the rear.
